Dach Holiday (pronounced Doc Holiday, from the movie "Tombstone") Miniature Dachshunds is located about 25 miles east of San Antonio, TX, between Seguin and Marion, on 7 1/2 acres of puppy playground.  In 2005 we began with one pair of adorable dachshunds, and now our family has grown to 15!  We raise only miniature dachshunds so we specialize in breeding happy healthy dogs.  We give each of our litters lots of love, attention, and photography.  They are born indoors and stay indoors for their 8 weeks.  All of our dogs are AKC registered (puppies come with limited AKC registration), and all shots/worming are kept on a very accurate schedule.  We have longhair and smooth coats in various colors.  All of our dogs are our personal pets.  Dachshunds, as a breed, love people and lots of attention!

Before purchasing one of our puppies, we ask that you're certain you are ready for a life-long commitment to this dog.  They need shelter, care, food, love, and attention...not only as puppies, but also as adults.  They should not be kept in kennels all day and when you don't have time to spend with them. Dachshunds are very intelligent dogs with loving temperaments and are easily trained with patience, care, and time.  Dachshund owners (or rather, those owned by dachshunds) are a special breed of their own.

**I do not sell for hobby breeding.  A great deal of time, research, and personal experience has gone into raising quality dogs.  I do not agree with the mindset of "I have 2 dogs, let's have puppies!"  I have seen the deformed puppies that result.  Therefore, all puppies will go home with limited AKC papers (no breeding rights).  If a legitimate breeder is interested in adding one of my puppies to their family, I will review their website and ask for references before agreeing to the sale.  $100 will be added to the price for full AKC papers.

Your puppy comes complete with a vaccine at 6 weeks, parvo vaccines at 4 and 8 weeks, and worming every 2 weeks starting at birth.  We release the puppies to their new homes at 8 weeks of age, when they have been away from Mama for a while and are eating dry food.  The puppies go home with limited AKC paperwork, a record of all their worming/shots, a 1-year health guarantee, tips on potty training, "how to choose food" sheet, a small bag of the food they have been eating, and a fleece blanket. Potty training is started with pee pads and a doggy door.  When they leave Dach Holiday, they are quite skilled with a doggy door and a ramp.

Note about Deposits (Down Payments)
If you are paying a deposit on a puppy it is considered a down payment, and you are entering into an agreement with Dach Holiday to purchase that puppy. Once you have decided on the puppy you want and notified us, a $200 deposit is required to hold the puppy until it is ready. This can be a personal check, cash, or money order.  Deposits should be hand-delivered or postmarked within 3 business days of decision.  I highly recommend you mail your deposit with a tracking number.  A few deposits have been lost in the mail.  A puppy will only be held for that period of time.  DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
If for any reason you change your mind and decide not to follow through with the purchase you will not receive a refund for the deposit.  If the puppy were to get sick or die after a deposit has been received by us we will apply it to a comparable pup.  If we do not have a comparable pup then you will receive a refund.
